Doing Dance

Last night the Chicago Sashay Company: Active Dance Team performed for the Impress These Apes finale show at the lake shore theater. It was way too much fun for words, and I bet it looked too cool from the audience. In fact I'm jealous of the audience for getting to see it. Ill post pictures or video if they become available.

Another thing that has got me all pumped up is This American Life. It's a radio show on NPR (you can listen to all past shows on their website) that is now becoming a TV show on Showtime. Here are the trailers:

Do worry about Louie

So if you don't hear from me very often and sometimes you worry about my well-being. The following video may make you worry a little more:

Im totally fine, but after this event I went to to Chrissy's house and as soon as I walked in the door she said "Hey Louie guess what I got at the store? Cinnamon Rolls!"

I almost puked again.

Done and Done

I need to get a camera phone so that you guys can see the things I see. Instead for now I have to post images that are related to the stories I tell.

Due to the nice weather I went walking during my lunch break to explore the area and see what I have at my disposal. We are kind of close to Printer's Row, which is nice if you like that sort of thing.

It's not really my kind of thing though, mainly because it's only 2 shops and a bar.

However behind the "station" (the picture on the right) there is a small playground that I have staked out for a good lunch area. It's quiet and it has a wicked tire swing that I can't wait to try out in the spring.

Ive got to say I really like everyone at my new job. It's mainly because people are usually pretty thoughtful and genuine here. No typical business politics or junk like that.

The building we are currently in is on the left, the new building that is under construction (designed by the company that Chrissy works for) is on the right.

The new building will be uber-cool, but the current building is awesome because of all the little hidden areas. It was built in the 70's for IBM, and since I have the Skeleton Key I can go anywhere, and there are some fun places.

When I get as camera phone Ill show you some of the fun areas.

HEAT WAVE!

In other news:

I got a ceasar wrap from a small "healthy wrap" restaurant. It tasted really bad, and was somehow dripping with grease. Now I feel a little ill.

Why did I eat it all? Because I always convince myself that the next bite will be better. That's how I live my life.

Zombie Doings

Ok, so I think most males have their zombie obsession in middle school or early high school. Im having mine RIGHT NOW!

It started around Christmas when chrissy gave me this book as a present

It's really good. So after I read it I was obsessed with making sure I could survive a zombie outbreak, so I got this:

And if that wasn't enough, last night some members of my IO team Roadster came over and we played this:

The game ended at 1am withall of us a mad at each other. So they went home and I went to bed. And guess what I had nightmares about all night?

doing doing done

So I wrote a script for Jeff Griggs' project writing class. It's entitled "A Weekend At The Movies". When I register it I will post a short synopsis.

We had a reading a little while ago, and that went about as good as it could go. There were lots of laughs had (which was my intention) with a little help from the best darn script readers ever.

(insert picture later)

I had a lot of fun writing it, and now that I'm getting into my final drafts I'm actually going to try to sell the thing. Which is a little weird for me, because being modest makes selling a script harder. But I'm proud of it, so I figured "why not?"

So this is kind of sad:

Don't get famous when you are young. It never seems to have a happy ending:

This last one makes me even more sad:

(but maybe now I could get him to star in my movie)

Louie Does St. Valentine

Happy Valentines Day! And if you are single, Happy Look At Flowers on Other Peoples Desks day!

So Chrissy and I have been together for over a year now. Here we are at christmas:

The Santa we are sitting on is Chrissy's Dad. He is amazing at it too.

Chrissy is pretty super awesome, we do a show together, as mentioned below. Here is us at my script reading:

It almost looks like I'm trying to eat her and got caught in the act.

Elsewise

Chrissy (my gff) is going to kill me because I left out one very important thing in my last entry.

It's our sketch show:

I'm weirded out right now because the coffee in my office is so strong and dark that I added 2 packets of creamer and it still looks pitch black.

By the way, I am currently working at the Spertus Institute for Jewish Studies as the "IT Guy"

It's a really great place to work and everyone is very nice. Plus I'm learning some basic Yiddish. Oh, and we get free bagels. I love bagels.
